Steve M. Ayer | Managing Director, Partner

Mr. Ayer is a Managing Director and Partner with Strata Wealth Partners at Hightower. He has been in the financial services industry for over 24 years and is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), one of the premier industry designations from IMCA (Investment Management Consultants Association).  In addition, Steven is also an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF), which is a designation that he received from the Center for Fiduciary Studies.

Given his length of service, Steven has significant experience in multiple areas within the financial industry, including business consulting, alternative investments with a focus on private equity & hedge funds, risk analysis, portfolio construction, financial planning,  & global macro economic  analysis.  It is believed that Steven has over 15,000 hours of research into these areas of interest amongst other categories within the financial sector. 

Steven is the author of “Choosing Simplicity”, a book about diligence and making choices that are in line with one’s priorities, which was published in early 2011.  He & his family also launched an organically grown vegetable farming operation in 2017 at his family farm, which has been in the family for over 350 years.
Mr. Ayer is active on several company Boards, both for-profit as well as non-profit  and volunteers for The Last Green Valley as well.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Connecticut State University in 1994 where he majored in Finance and minored in Economics.
